Why is the Squirrelinator better than single-catch traps?
Traditional single-catch cage traps catch one squirrel at a time and must be checked, emptied, and reset after each catch. If you have a dozen squirrels raiding your bird feeders, garden, or attic, that means a dozen trips. The Squirrelinator catches multiple squirrels in one session, saving you hours of work. How does the Squirrelinator work?
Place bait inside the trap — peanut butter, sunflower seeds, corn, or walnuts work best. Squirrels can enter from either side through the two spring-loaded doors, which close behind them. The open wire mesh construction is critical: squirrels are social and curious animals, so when they see other squirrels eating inside the trap, they follow them in. This "social lure" effect is what makes multi-catch traps dramatically more effective than single-catch alternatives.

I started using the squirrelinator a few weeks ago and so far i've caught only 3 squirrels. i have a lot of squirrels on my property. however. 1 squirrel we were able to dispatch. the other 2 escaped. at first i thought i had magical squirrels. or maybe my squirrels were just smarter than all the rest. i mean honestly, they might be pretty smart circus level squirrels. they avoid my trap and get into things (and clearly out of) that i'm very surprised about. after the second one disappeared, literally when i was filling the basin to dispatch him, i turned around and he was gone. like we're talking gone in 60 seconds thing. all after i had watched him frantically run to and fro. i was flabbergasted. 1 squirrel i could explain away, but 2!?!? could they figure out how to lift the gate? or are they being helped by a higher power? but after inspection come to find out there are at least TWO, not 1, but TWO and one more broken links in the cage. i saw in the description is says "heavy duty galvanized steel". well let me tell you, my squirrels teeth must be made of metal because even the slightly bent one i found i could barely move with my hands. so now. i have bought this thing and it's more or less worthless because my what now appear to be super strength squirrels have opened two holes from which if they find them they can squeeze out of. i cannot recommend this product. but if you're looking for some strong, smart, possibly magical squirrels, hit me up.

Will it work in my attic?

Can squirrels chew through it?
No. The heavy-duty galvanized steel construction resists even aggressive chewing. Customers confirm squirrels try but can't damage the trap.
What's the difference between Trap Only and With Basin?
Trap Only ($74.95) is the complete trap. With Basin ($89.99) includes a fitted catch basin for easier transport and cleanup when relocating squirrels. Many customers wish they'd gotten the basin.
How do I transport squirrels for release?
Place a towel over the trap to calm them. Transport to a wooded area at least 5 miles away. The basin option makes this much cleaner.
What's the best bait for squirrels?
Unshelled peanuts are the top recommendation. Sunflower seeds, bird seed, corn, Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, and powdered donuts also work great. Scatter near entrances, pile more in the center.
How many squirrels can I catch per day?
Typical results are 1-3 per day. One customer caught 10 on the first day. Our most dedicated customer trapped 229 squirrels over several years!
Do squirrels warn each other about the trap?
No, the opposite. The open wire mesh lets squirrels see others eating inside, which attracts more squirrels in. This social lure effect is what makes multi-catch traps so effective.
Baiting and Setup Tips
Use bait that squirrels already recognize. Peanut butter, sunflower seeds, corn, walnuts, peanuts, and birdseed are all strong options. If squirrels are raiding a bird feeder, use the same seed as bait. If they are digging around garden areas, peanut butter mixed with sunflower seeds or corn can create a stronger scent.
Place the bait inside the trap so squirrels must fully enter. Keep other food sources cleaned up so the trap becomes the easiest food source in the area.
