Chick Outfitters Photo Prop

Thumbs Up Hands. One Photo. Then Take Them Off.

A pair of plastic thumbs-up hands that hang on a hen or rooster with an adjustable wire. Hold the bird, shape the wire over the shoulders, take the photo, then take the hands off. This is a supervised photo prop — not a coop accessory you leave on while the flock eats, dust-bathes, or runs the hardware cloth.

This listing is Rugged Ranch Chick Outfitters thumbs-up hands, SKU CHKATHMB. You get one pair (left and right) with the wire already in place. About 4 oz (113 g). Wholesale pack size is about 8" × 8" × 0.5". Made in China.

It is not a sized harness, a saddle, or all-day wear. If a feature is not listed on this page, do not assume it is included.

What’s On This Listing

  • One pair of plastic thumbs-up hands
  • Adjustable wire so you can shape the hang on most standard-size chickens
  • About 4 oz (113 g) — light enough for a short photo session
  • No hat, harness, leash, or extra props in this box

What These Hands Are For

Halloween, farm-stand photos, gag gifts, and backyard shots. Bantams and extra-large birds may need more wire bending. If it will not sit without pinching the crop or blocking the wings, skip that bird.

What’s Not Included / Not For

Not a saddle. Not a harness. Not free-range wear. Do not leave the hands on overnight, in the coop, near waterers, or with birds that peck costumes. Take them off as soon as the photo is done.

How To Use It

How To Put Them On

This is a photo prop. Hold the bird, shape the wire, take the shot, take the hands off.

  1. Hold the hen or rooster calmly against your body so it can’t flap into a fence or waterer.
  2. Bend the wire over the shoulders, in front of the wings — snug, not pinching the crop or under the wings.
  3. Check that both hands hang evenly and the bird can still stand and breathe normally.
  4. Take the photo, then take the hands off. Do not leave them on in the coop, overnight, or with a flock that pecks.

If a bird fights the fit, stop. This is not a harness, saddle, or all-day accessory.

Why Photo-Session Use Beats Leaving Them On

The joke is the picture. The bird still has to eat, drink, dust-bathe, and not snag a wire on hardware cloth.

FAQs

Will this fit a bantam or a big rooster?

The wire is meant to be bent over the shoulders of a standard hen or rooster. Bantams and extra-large birds may need more shaping. If it will not sit without pinching the crop or blocking the wings, skip that bird — this is not a sized harness.

Can they wear the hands in the coop all day?

No. This is a supervised photo prop. Take the hands off as soon as you have the shot. Do not leave them on overnight, in the run, near waterers, or with birds that peck at costumes.

How do I put them on?

Hold the bird calmly. Bend the wire over the shoulders, in front of the wings — snug, not pinching. Check the bird can stand and breathe normally. Take the photo, then take the hands off.

Is this the same as the T-Rex arms?

No. This listing is SKU CHKATHMB, the thumbs-up pair. T-Rex arms are a separate listing (CHKATREX). Same idea — plastic hands, adjustable wire, supervised photos — different shape.

What if a pair arrives damaged?

Email photos to info@shopruggedranch.com or call (773) 234-9995. Damaged units are replaced. We also stand behind a 30-day satisfaction guarantee if it is not the right prop for you.
